PARTS MANAGER

Highway Equipment Company is currently recruiting for a Parts Manager. The position has a responsibility to follow the directions of the President and/or Product Support Manager.

This person is responsible for:

• Direct all aspects of profitability of the Parts Department

• Manage all the day to day operations of the Parts department at all company branches, including sales and inventory management

• Build and maintain relations with current and new customers

• Assure the maintenance of the department is in good order and in accordance with safety requirements

• Provide training and assistance to Parts Countermen and other Parts employees, including marketing programs for Parts Countermen to increase parts sales and parts turns

• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed

This ideal candidate will have the following:

• Must have a background that is directly or indirectly involved in one or more industry segments related to the industries served by Highway Equipment Company, its customers, suppliers or competitors

• Experience in managing employees, team building and problem solving

• Excellent mathematics and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows Explorer)

• Ability to read and write the English language

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent telephone skills

• Exercise exceptional judgment

• Recognize and follow company procedures and policies

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

We are looking for highly motivated sales professionals to join our dedicated team in our continued growth.

The successful candidates will have prior sales experience, strong negotiating and closing skills, be willing to prospect new customers through cold calling, establish schedules and goals for maintaining existing accounts, present a professional appearance, and a strong commitment to excellent customer relations. Knowledge of construction equipment is preferred.
